It looks like you did not define required variables APACHE_LOCK_DIR,
APACHE_PID_FILE and so on.
This is exactly what envvar file is for. You *need* to source it
before runing apache.
apache2 is a service. On Debian, you need to start services using
service(8) on the command l

I may have found a clue to why mysql-server can't start/stop with
upgrade. Mysql "debian-sys-maint" account and privileges.

when i perform a search with gnome-search-tool with "follow symbolic links" i'm
getting a critical error...
unfortunately gnome-search-tool doesn't make a log file, so i had to use a
unconventional method
Installed version 5.2.40 rev 8790 now, seems to work fine...
this is from sid, i'm being careful using sid (unstable)..
Mysql-admin 5.0r14+openSUSE-2.1 has a problem with user-accounts, hope
this can be fixed...
