Package: nsd
Version: 4.1.0-3
Severity: normal

Dear Ondřej,
nsd changes ownership of the system root dir to 'nsd' if 'database'
is set to "" (the empty string) in the config file.

The offending line, both in the init-script as well as the systemd
service file is '/bin/chown "$(/usr/sbin/nsd-checkconf -o username $CONFFILE)"
"$(dirname "$(/usr/sbin/nsd-checkconf -o database $CONFFILE)")"'
where dirname resolves to '.'

Since the working directory for systemd is '/', that's the dir 'dot'
refers to and hence it's chowned to nsd. Only tested this with systemd.

Regards
André
