I now have mariadb-connect-engine-10.0 v10.0.25-0+deb8u1 installed
(jessie-security) and despite this bug apparently being fixed in
v10.0.24-4, I still get the same behaviour. i.e. trying to connect to an
ODBC database, gives: SQL Error (1105): Unsupported table type ODBC and
ldd /usr/lib/mysql
