finch has a lot of hardcoded stuff rather than using the terminal
description - gntkeys.c for instance. That's compounded with
konsole setting $TERM to xterm, of course.
If the hardcoding in finch were cleared up, then this would be just
a konsole bug.

This bug can be closed. It appears that xfce4-panel is still crashing
regardless of gkrellmd, so it's not that. I guess it was just a
coincidence that it didn't crash when I didn't try to load gkrellmd for
missing hosts.
