This happened again to me on another kfreebsd-amd64 system. As it
breaks installation I'd say the issue itself is RC, but I don't know
exactly where it should be fixed.

I think the same just happened to me within the kfreebsd-amd64
installer. So this could be serious, except I didn't hit this problem
during a Wheezy alpha1 kfreebsd-amd64 install just a couple of weeks ago.
