Hi everyone,
are there any plans to support the nouveau driver in kFreeBSD?
Just NV is ugly and doesn't support dual monitor, however hard I try. XRANDR
doesn't appear to be supported either.

Hi everyone, hope you're OK.
Just can anyone explain these two:
1) -- How do we make things start on boot in kfreebsd? Is there any special
/etc/init.d script to start each thing?Things like PF packet filter.
In FreeBSD we have that file /etc/rc.conf where we define such things.
2) -- How do we
t the way it was built?
This is what I want to know.
Thanks :)

the scripts in the source package suggest, that you are on a FreeBSD
system and running Xorg in a linux compatibility layer. So that part of the
script cannot be executed. But what should be done instead?

Right, I encountered that, too.
But I actually WAS installing on a GPT disk and the partition sure was
"primary" -- which didn't help it either.
It didn't fail actually to create a partition, it just failed to format it into
UFS.
So I just used my existing FreeBSD installation (residing on my pri

OK, thanks. My question has been answered.

Thanks!! Really didn't thing about this flexibility in X.
And I didn't choose kde-full for a reason: it downloads and installs too much
stuff, as noticed during my first, unsuccessful installation.
OK, I got it. thanks.

Hi again,
I never asked so many questions, but since there's no documentation on
kfreebsd...
Here, I just installed it and it RUNS!!! I'm VERY glad it does.
However, the installation process left me with a couple of questions. As I'm
planning to write a little HOWTO, I'm trying to find out the s
Hi everyone :).
Does anyone know the way Xorg works in kfreebsd?
Because I compiled a proprietary NVIDIA driver from the NVIDIA package for
FreeBSD using freebsd-make (which, of course, took a couple of tweaks), but the
result was positive and the `kldload` loaded module OK. The modules directo
