For reference, because Christoph asked: Squeeze uses the mpt driver from
8.2, whereas Wheezy uses the 9.0 mps driver.

This issue is similar to #691754, and also affects LSI devices. In my
case it is a LSI Logic SAS1068E Fusion-MPT SAS controller (aka: "Dell
SAS 6/iR Integrated Blades RAID Controller") installed into a DELL R310.
It uses the mps kernel driver.
