Debian GNU/kFreeBSD: Missing man page: device.hints(5)
I just saw that GRUB 2 can do the right thing with a /boot/device.hints file.
But I couldn't find the device.hints(5) man page anywhere on Debian.

By default kfreebsd nfsd serves 4 UDP clients (accoring to the
manpage) and doesn't support tcp. the mount_nfs however seems to be
only ever trying to mount via tcp (or at least takes a long time until
considering udp trying tc
