I'll work to provide slang-utf8 and newt-utf8, based on the code

I hope the maintainer of slang1, Jim Mintha, will provide it for us
as well as Enrique will do with newt. But if it can not be done,
we'll need something to use. So I'll prepare to work on slang1-utf8.

Thanks! Now we have to check newt-utf8 by Enrique, then check the problem
in bogl-bterm which impede bterm working without libutf8.

libutf8 (and the root priviledge) to work well even on the current

So we should provide libutf8 package, or make bogl-bterm statically

Which option is better ?

But I agree with you, base-config is perfect for us. I don't want to maintain

I'll ask the removal of termwrap after the new base-config is installed.

This enables the usage of termwrap with debian-installer when required,
