I'm not a new user and I do lots of installs.
I personally would like to see a default link setup -- it's one less
thing I have to do. I wouldn't mind if Matt's suggested dialog was
medium in the case of multiple detected devices, but I rarely put
two cd's of any k

with this kernel. However, it's not SMP, so if you have another cpu,
you'll want to install another kernel after you get things online.

2450 (1U vs. 2U issues and such aside). My stock 1550 said it had a
MegaRAID while it was booting. That driver is supported by the kernel.

drivers disk? It looks like floppy-split puts on custom headers and
such making it quite difficult to modify by hand. I guess this needs

I've just committed a workaround for #269077 to rootskel. It only
affects 2.2 kernels.
It should be properly fixed, but now probably isn't the time.

Anyway, thanks to manty for fixing my fix.
m68k/amiga kernels are on the daily sarge cds, so I think this is fixed.

Is there already a way to fire up just the ssh server portion of network
console or something equivalent?
I don't really want to run the whole installer under network-console,
but I would like to be able to ssh in when the installer hangs.
