The debian package cryptsetup-initramfs does not seem present on the main
system, judging from its absence from /usr/share/doc/.
I'm not sure I've understood the question, however. I'm using this
somewhat indirect indicator of the package because of the difficulty of
getting into the system live.

I had the same problem after installing Mint 19 on PCLOS, the new grub.cfg
initrd line had only the microcode part. Missing the /boot/initrd.img leads to
kernel panic.
The linux.boot-prober also reports only the first part, the microcode update.
Is the problem really the caret?
