Please add a switch to disable the use of an initrd-image.
I'm compiling my kernel with make dep-pkg
and I'm not using an initrd-image.
flash-kernel fails with error 2 and I found out that no initrd was found.
Please fix this.

I need to copy some files off of an old system that users reiserfs 3.6 on
an old hardware raid that most rescue cds wont work with. Fortunately when
I pulled out my favorite tool Debian's installer recognized the raid and
correctly identified all the partitions, but the reiserfs would not mount
and
debian-installer-netboot-images_20150422+deb8u4.b4_amd64.changes uploaded
successfully to localhost
along with the files:
debian-installer-netboot-images_20150422+deb8u4.b4.dsc
debian-installer-netboot-images_20150422+deb8u4.b4.tar.xz
