I booted up debian_squeeze_amd64_standard.qcow2 first time and it is asking
for userid and password which I do not know. So how to enter in the system.

IIRC I removed most of that already. I see that hardware/hardware-supported.xml
still mentions IXP4xx. I'm fine with removing that refere

I don't have an NSLU2 anymore, so I have no plans to update the tar
ball.
(Personally, I'm surprised there are still users of Debian on the
NSLU2, but occasionally
I dont have that kind of system available ATM to give you more details
but the SCSI kernel module was definitely missing when required at the
disk detection part of the installer.
I cant confirm if the anna package including the SCSI modules was
downloaded and loaded prior but i can confirm that
