since 3 years we work around this bug (*), which has a (IMO) straightforward
patch, but yet never seen a reply from the maintainers. Any chance to see

Currently debian/copyright points to /usr/.../GPL as license however
it is now pointing to GPL v3 license text. Is this intended? I'd
prefer to point it to a direct version of it to avoid any confusion.
Any objection regarding changing it to point to GPL-3 file?
