Version: etch-install CD from 22.03.2007
If you install etch and your computer is for example in a 10.0.0.64/26 network
you enter the following:
IP: 10.0.0.66
Netmask: 255.255.255.192
Then the debian installer suggests the following gateway address:
Gateway 10.0.0.1

Hi,
As discussed here http://lists.debian.org/debian-i18n/2007/03/msg00161.html
Please create a malayalam-desktop task and add ttf-malayalam-fonts to
it. The system becomes unusable without it.
Regards
Praveen

Description: Binary data
I know... I've tried it four days ago, soon after reading "F1", with
no results...
I suspended my experiments with this laptop anyway...

Hello there,
I'm afraid this is my fault.
I supplied a patch to make grub-installer try to do the right thing in
bug http://bugs.debian.org/224641
However the code added there assumes a FULL serial port definition on
the kernel command line. eg: for the example Vagrant gives in this bug

No, at most in the D-I errata I would say.

This bug lies in the grub-installer script in the function grub_serial_console.
Attached is the file grub_serial_console.txt is a replacement
grub_serial_console function which parses the kernel command line

I don't know where it came from, don't know where it
went but it's gone with RC2 and since noone seems to
have picked up on it...

I seem to have the same problem as Ilya Naydov.
Installing on Compaq 1590DT with 48MB RAM (Pentium 166) and using RC2 floppy
image (no CD drive)
Halts at "Loading initrd.gz" (thats 4 dots).
I've written a new floppy - same result.
Same floppy set installed OK on a very recent desktop just 2
I can now confirm that this is not a problem with the Sarge boot floppy (laptop
is now asking for the root floppy).
Appears to be a d-i problem for Etch

Hello. I'd like to suggest a slight visual change to 'debian-installer' in
terms of menu items layout.
I've been meaning to post this to the list for years now but somehow never got
around to doing so, perhaps thinking that sooner or later it'd be done by
someone else or that such petty request

A malayalam-desktop task has been commited to the SVN. Not exactly the
one you sent as there were a few quirks in it.
Here's the file:

Things will soon start to move on again for D-I and D-I related

As D-I RC2 has been released, the D-I trunk is now reopened for
changes (still discussed with Frans, certainly) so don't be surprised
if your language stats come under 100%. For
