Hi,
I just installed linux-source-2.6.16-14, build a kernel-image and it
mpt* support is working.
So problem is that d-i still uses 2.6.15 which seems to support the mpt*
cards but only when the harddisks are not in an RAID array
It would be really great if this could be solved towards release

Hi all,
After a discussion with Joey Hess and later with Frans Pop at Debconf 6,
we have decided that it could be a good idea to have a udeb glibc
built with -Os.
I have made a few tests, mainly on i386 and amd64, and also on all
architectures but m68k. All tests were ok. The tests include

Currently it is built in a dirty way by doing that on the main lib

This is a problem with recent kernels not supporting multiple
PCI domains in ACPI. It is discussed in
http://lkml.org/lkml/2005/12/2/131
http://lkml.org/lkml/2005/12/2/192
and
http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/5/15/161
The problem can be avoided by booting with pci=noacpi or
by changing BIOS settings.
