Hi,
I seem to be having the same problem - my IDE devices mount fine but
I've got a bunch of SATA disks connected to a RAID controller which
presents the RAID5 array as a SCSI disk and /dev/sda1 fails to mount.
After a little more investigation it looks like the fsck was failing as
it seemd to be
