Well, If I try substituting powerpc for i386, I get 6-21-01 as the date (and thus 2.3.6), and the same thing for the "aph" address I was given in another email...I feel some kind of better, at least I looked in the right places before... Thanks for the pointers so far. Any one else? Russell
