My current solution is to use regular partitions - set up manually.
Then, after the base installation is complete, to use grub to manually
boot to sda...
Then, once booted, to fix all the references and re-boot...

This is for production servers - we're trying to drop the use of RH on
DELL servers...
And "testing" is usually OK, but for production I've always stayed with
