I've noticed that when the kernel gets upgraded by apt-get upgrade that it does *not* run flash-kernel on my Squeeze system. I have a suspicion that the fact that the kernel name/version has not changed might have something to do with it. Before upgrade: colin@muscat:~$ uname -a Linux muscat 2.6
