Reinstall attempted and failed. Performed install using 'expert-powerpc' option as before but chose debian.mirrors.pair.com instead of ftp-linux.cc.gatech.edu. All error messages were identical. This is peculiar since the same unit with the same snapshot installed fine using 'install-powerpc
