any standard procedure for forcing dpkg to do "things" during the
tasksel phase of etch install? I am refering to the --force-things kind
of options for dpkg. like "--force-overwrite" for example.

where can I read more about how netboot gets the base debs/udebs.
the thing is that I want want to install some cutomized debs that at
least when using the neinst cd were part of the base packages
(apt-setup, tasksel).

I am experiencing some weird problems with debconf-apt-progress during
the tasksel step when using the etch netinst cd (amd64).
I am using the iso from:
http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/4.0_r1/amd64/iso-cd/
the debconf pkg on the iso fs is:
debconf_1.5.11_all.deb
