I downloaded the i386-kde-CD-1 image from there and installed it on a
new Virtual Machine on VMware 3.5.0 and it worked. Next week when I have
some time I will try it on some real machines.
Good work, Thanks.

nt to keep it as small
as possible so it can run on little machines. With this change we can have both. An "accessibility"
installer with everything and a "regular" installer that is very small. As a Debian user I like
having a choice!
Thank you -

beeps. So, why not make it an option. Would that make everybody happy?

USB floppy drive attached when I install Debian it will
write GRUB on the floppy disk not on the hard drive. I boots fine until you unplug the floppy drive.

Try it. Make a simple change first, then try something more complicated. It isn't as hard as most
imagine. Send in something that makes Debian easier for you to use. That is how Debian get better
every day.

Doing the same thing, but using the debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso file
instead works fine.
So, I suspect there is a problem with the businesscard iso.

Konqueror was able to open the floppy disk.
I think HAL should be added to the list of package that are installed by
tasksel when kde-desktop is selected.

cfg-partman). How do I get a copy of them? How do I set up ETCH to use them?
