Dear Maintainer,
The partman-efi package refers to the EFI System Partition (ESP) as an "EFI
boot partition." The latter name is non-standard; AFAIK, it's used *only* in
partman-efi and tools derived from it, such as Ubuntu's ubiquity. It's

In my original post I said that "I" found the solution
on the Debian Administration web site. I should have
said that Adam Thornton found the solution for me on
that site.

at sets it in setup script, but its
location eludes me at this time. I hope this helps
someone else! I'll try to submit a bug report when I
get the time.
Editing the file mentioned and removing the level 2
line fixed the problem for me.

dpkg log indicated that the last package installed was popularity
contest. When I restarted the installation, it restarted from scratch
each time.
I have reverted to the previous weekly build, which is installing as I
write.
