One more thing I've noticed is that swap partition size does not take
into account RAM memory and the default seems quite small. Maybe this
isn't possible to develop, but just thought I'd mention it.
For anyone wanting to use encryption + LVM (full disk encryption), with
a partitioning layout for
Maybe this should be reported under: 'installation-reports' and not
debian-installer as I did. Debian bug reporting seems a bit confusing.
I still think it's a bug - I can't install a usable Debian desktop
system, but call it whatever you like - feature request, or something
else :)
But OK -
Package: debian-installer
Version: ---
Architecture: amd64

The guided LVM encrypted partitioning layout does not create a separate
/usr partition and creates a 8-10 GB / (root) partition. This happens in
both separate /var, /tmp, /home installer option and separate /home
PS Regarding my previous bug report: for people considering installation
(using guided lvm encrypted partitioning on Debian 8.1), I would
recommend to choose options:
1) Everything on one partition;
or
2) separate /home;
if the third option (separate /var, /tmp, /home) does not include /usr
in
) separate /home;
3) separate /var, /tmp, /home;
This is a bug.
If possible, please let me know if this was fixed and if the bug was
confirmed.
