I've suffered the same issue in some netcards (nexcom and portwell HW).
The usleep of netcfg.c is not enought to up the interface and detect the
link up in auto mode (buggy driver or buggy hardware?? :-/).
In my case the sleep goes to some seconds (4-5 secs.).

Sorry about sending the first mail without totally confirm the issue.
I don't know how to afford this, I've solved this problem in my custom
installers increasing the sleep
time, but, I don't know if t

fails beacause doesn't find any ppp concentrator.
Do you know if there is any functionality like netcfg/disable or any
workaround to skip this installation step??.
Thanks for your time!

Hi:
I've a problem with a unattended hd-media installation preseeding.
The preseed that I use works fine for net or CD installations (always is
used in single-disk systems),
and it takes the existing disk to part.
Since in hd-media installation exist other disk, the installation asks for

Hi everyone!
I've working on an custom installer. Now, we're using the lenny installer,
but due to some problems, we want to change the d-i to sid or squeed for
uuid supoort.
I got the installer udebs from the daily build (sid), but i don't find the
initrd and kernels for net or cdrom installatio
s using the etch net installer
initrd.
Sorry for the inconveniences, and thanks for your time.

OK, The exact URL of the installer image is:

Thanks and sorry fo
This works with the lenny installer >= versions but not with the etch, as i
was answered in this list a few days ago, the partman-auto/disk is only
optional since lenny installer.

Hi everyone:
I'm working in a preseeded installation, and all goes fine except the
partman preseeding.
The installer (and his preseed.cfg) should be non-dependant of the hard
disk, to install it on i386 machines that recognizes the HD as hda or sda.
In the preseed example that i've been working
