if the latest version of os-prober it's able yet to recognize a kernel
image on a ReiserFS filesystem you did not have to enter that worrying

if the Debian installer doesn't allow the use of reiserFS this mean that
there will be no new users with this filesystem. But old users (like me)
could survive (silently) again for few years.

it depends what you mean as "supported" ?
I'm using currently ReiserFS for all partitions on my Debian machines.
I'm using the latest kernel available on testing branch and reiserFS works.
Maybe you mean that new bugs on ReiserFS will no longer fixed, it's ok,
but the kernel is continuing

I tried your command for both partitions with Boot/BCD file
But
grep "W.i.n.d.o.w.s. .S.e.t.u.p" sda2/Boot/BCD
and
grep "W.i.n.d.o.w.s. .S.e.t.u.p" sda3/Boot/BCD
doesn't return any result

On my Toshiba A300D-14R, with Windows Vista, I have done some test:
/dev/sda1 doesn't contain the Boot/BCD file
/dev/sda2 contain the Boot/BCD file and:
# grep "W.i.n.d.o.w.s. .V.i.s.t.a" sda2/Boot/BCD
Il file binario sda2/Boot/BCD corrisponde
# grep "W.i.n.d.o.w.s. .R.e.c.o.v.e.r.y. .E.n.v.i.
os-prober is runned on an already installed Debian system.
/dev/sda is the disk dedicated to Windows:
/dev/sda1 is an unknown partition in NTFS who is invisible from Vista
/dev/sda2 is the Windows partition
/dev/sda3 is the recovery partition (and windows won't boot from here)
