Hello!
I have been installed Debian Jessie using pressed, after successful install and
reboot I realized that eth0 is down and ifupdown package was missing. Why ?
Same preseed file on wheezy installs ifupdown by default.
Then I tried to do
root@localhost:~# apt-get install ifupdown
Reading pack

Hi!
I'm testing "Debian Installer 7.0 Beta1" with the same pressed I have for
Squeeze for a long time.
For some reason new installer asks me about "Keymap to use:".
But as for Squeeze I have
1) isolinux.cfg:
default install
timeout 100
prompt 1
LABEL install
kernel linux
append initrd=initrdc

Glenn Saberton's patch, ported to current netcfg svn, is attached. (I've not
tested it.)

Thanks for the information Bas, but I am not sure it is the same problem
I am experiencing. I removed the aha-2940 uw scsi controller card and
disconnected the scsi hdd and the installation of sarge
(debian-installer tc1 with a 2.4 kernel) worked fine.
I guess it's indeed an intirely
I am trying to install debian sarge (with debian-installer) on a 1.4Ghz
Athlon with a K7S5A motherboard, AHA-2940W SCSI controller, 4GB SCSI
disk, 40GB IDE disk, network card and vga card.
I tried to use the boot cd for test candidate 1 and when it gets to
detect hardware the monitor turns off
do Alt-F3, Alt-F4
to look at the install log. Someone suggested removing non essential
PCI cards and trying again (perhaps the SCSI controller?), but what else
can I try?
Thanks,
Darren

Were I for some reason to choose 'Other', would the installer pick British
spelling or American spelling, or would it let me choose?
