Hi there,
I don't know if anyone has reported this problem before (I'd bet that someone
has, but I can't find any reference to it), but the Woody installer doesn't
tell dpkg which kernel-image was used during installation. So, unless you
change your kernel-image after installation is complete,

No, it mean that someone should write and commit the frontend into

Several install reports mention problems when a debootstrap run fails
for some reason, and then future runs die because debootstrap is not
idempotent. We came up with a way to avoid this problem:
Before debootstrap is run, list all files in /target.

I believe this should grep with "^$pkg$" to avoid matching substrings.

There should be an noninteractive frontend in cdebconf, to handle
automatic installation. It should use the currently set value for all

Hi,
I was wondering if there was any speculation on what the minimum system
requirements for d-i are.
Is 4MB, 8MB, 12MB enough ram? How close are things to any real RAM limit?
The current kernel used should make d-i usable on a 386 and newer for ia32
arches due to math emulation being turned on?
