i'm currently running w98 ontop of w95 on a dell xps
r400.

I just had the same problem with my Digital Celebris GL 5133 ST.
SYSLINUX makes the floppy drive emit strange noise and the boot fails
(debian old & new, redhat, slackware 8.1-current). Openbsd floppy boot
crashes with protection error. Freebsd & DOS boot fine.
Swapped 3 floppy drives, 2 floppy

Nope, I don't think bogl supports packed pixels at all. Christian and I
discussed this before if I remember right.

has anybody succesfully tested a boot of debian woody through
bootfloppies on powerpc prep?
I've succesfully booted the last diskset from testing on a Bull Estrella
Series 300 (motorola powerstack 4000 II) but it hangs on initialization
