So,
I really think we should release 3.0.19 soon, because it needs more
testing. So, what's holding it back?
Looking at a selection of the bug list:
#126489, #127955: I've just tagged these pending, 3.0.19 will fix them
#120386: looks like something we need to fix, but I don't know much

I think it is a very, very good idea! You didn't mention my favorite
thing about 2.4, which is iptables. Almost a must for installing a
firewall.
If there is a way we could make it into a boot

Hello Adam, hello everyone.
As promised on IRC, I have worked on a useable solution for using the
2.4 kernels in our current boot floppies and I think I have one.
Arguments first:
we should allways trade-off between stability and
actuality of Debian components. Currently we do not know how long

I could reproduce the bug too when testing in a real environment. Looks
like a malfunction somewhere in the lilo setup routine. If I choose
the root partition as target, I see only a small message appear for a split
second, then the screen is not going refreshed, and

Hello,
In section 3.3.1 of "Installing Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 For Intel x86", it
lists some ways to access BIOS for different manufacturers. It seems
like the information regarding Phoenix BIOS is... well not exactly
wrong, but not entirely correct either. Here's how it works on my computer:

The master boot record program that was just installed has features not
found in standard MBR programs. A prompt can be triggered on startup by
holding down the shift key. It shows the active partition [...]
I would say that MBR shows all active partitionS, but I'm not sure
