Something with regard to DHCP appears broken. dhclient-2.2.x reports
that it is successful, but it is not. I even went to the trouble to
download woody's pump and that doesn't work either. I can ping my local
network with a manually configured address on 192

I've done installs by creating a base using debootstrap, and then taring
it up and sending it over the network. you could also put this on
floppys if you wanted to.
