I am trying to install Potato into this machine, on a scsi disk. The cd-rom boots OK,
the Linux is uncompress, but

I installed testing yesterday.
tasksel was a problem, but thats been discussed i think.
The *major* problem i had was upgrading to pre-built 2.4.5 kernel post
install, when i first installed 2.4.5 i was told to edit
/etc/kernel-img.conf (that didnt exist yet) and add a line "Do_initrd =

Quite honestly, there are only two cases that I see are all that
valid:
(a) if you're a single user, single disk workstation, just make one
partition for swap, and one big one for everything else
(b) if you're a server, than you bettah split out /tmp, /var, /usr,
possibly /var/mail, yadda y
Thanks Adam, I'm looking forward to 3.0.8. Can't really compile the
source when I need the kernel-source package, gcc, make, etc.
