TESTING REPORT

(cc'ed to -boot for courtesy reasons only; it's probably best if reports
go straight to -testing, and get discussed there until the problems are
understood well enough for bugs to be filed, rather than having all this stuff
go in multiple lists and such)

Howdy,
I just tested the i386 compact 3.0.7 images Adam made available.
The two most important bugs I encountered were that the time was
set incorrectly (already noted by ajt) and that tasksel wouldn't
run (apparently already fixed in CVS).

How so? Many systems work fine with /var, /tmp and even /home on the root
partition. People who are installing servers will have their own parti

Just did a network install of test (woody) using the 2.3.6 boot floopies
on a LC475 Macintosh (with full 040) and a Sonic LC Ethernet card.
Except for the usual difficulties selecting the packages I wanted
installed the installation went fine. I also think it is a definite
improvement over the 2.
