Hi there I've read in the installation Document and it said that the Debian cd is suppose to be a bootable cd, well I've tried to do that but doesn't work. I just thought that this is a bug. so can you please help me out too, thank you

According to the boot-floppies todo list, a failing id -d
invocation is causing problems with modconf and debootstrap. I
searched the mailing list archives, but couldn't find any more
information. Could someone please point me to the right place?
