That sure sounds like a good idea to me (although im
just a user/ small admin, not programmer)!
Just a couple questions, though:
1) if the Bootdisk-O-Matic was used by many people,
use of mirrors would probably be needed much, so the
computational load on servers would be spread out,

Thing is that the driver included in the kernel source says it's 1.1, and 3ware
doesn't claim to have gotten their driver to that level yet, which is odd. Their
most recent version is 1.0.002something...
So onto my other question...

dbootstrap/langs directory are now included). Please check if Portuguese looks

I made a program to autoconfigure the kernel (in a very soft manner).
My program is a simple shell script that detect what kernel know
(/proc, ...). It can detect most of modern hardware.
I can convert very fast this program for a installer autodetection.
But I'm not subscribed in debian

I have inherited a couple of old 486 machines and I am trying to make
them useful by installing potato on them. I am using the current boot
disks (v ...17?). I have already used the same disks to install on
another different box.
