The boot disks use modconf to select the appropriate modules.
When installing the Test 3 CD-ROM, I tried to use modconf to set up
the lp.o module.
I used the default suggested arguments io=0 irq=0.
It didn't work.

I have a SPARCstation 5 that I'm trying to install debian on. I downloaded
the 2.2.16-2000-07-14 disks from /debian/dists/potato/main/disks-sparc/sun4cdm
and the root.bin that I used came from
debian/dists/potato/main/disks-sparc/images-1.44
All went fine until I tried to download the driver.tgz

Ive been working on writting a debconf in c, im calling it
debconf-native at the moment.
If we can make the user interface for debconf a bit more flexible, it
would be ideal to base the entire woody isntaller around.
Debconf would be great for users becasue it would be same tool they
could use

There is a script in the boot-floppies src, /scripts/mklibs.sh, it
strips the library down to only the objects required to run specified
binaries.

I have seen installation disks for Red Hat and Slackware to setup
ReiserFS. Has anyone created them for Debian yet?

I installed potato very recently and found some inconsistency
with install.en.txt during the installation.
First in "7.12 Configure the Network" the installer really
asked about DHCP and BOOTP but it is not explained in
install.en.txt, and I do not know anything about DHCP and BOOTP
