It does stop if you push Enter while a transfer is running. But
perhaps if the transfer hangs, there's a point where it cannot be

If I use net-fetch to get base2_2.tgz, and stop it in the middle,
then attempt to resume it, the zcat | tar command fails.
When I go over to vt2 and zcat the /target/tmp/base2_2.tgz, I get

PPPoE = PPP over Ethernet. It's the connection method icnreasingly being
imposed on home DSL users by their ISPs (PacBell and Bell Atlantic are two
big DSL providers inflicting it on their new customers).
Here in the West, PacBell provides its own (proprietary, binary only) PPPoE
stuff for Linux

Joey, i have some ideas of how woody boot floppies could work and would

for woody?
Some things ive been thinking are
base.tgz could be created on the fly if someone has access to the debian
archive.

I just commited changes to `dbootstrap' that make it so you can push
`Ctrl-C' to break out of a failing DNS lookup and the subsequent
`connect()' in "http-fetch.c", and from an attempting NFS mount in
"choose_medium.c".

This controller is supported by 2.3.x series - what is the easiest way
to install Debian ? Can I replace the kernel on rescue disk, will this
be sufficient ?
