I checked versions now, I should be good, but the xserver still does not start
(started with
the Xserver now and look to kodi as a second step).

Since the CuBox i* series of devices use Vivante GPUs and there are
reverse engineered libre drivers called etnaviv for these GPUs, you
should be able to get graphics usi
