I just looked at the status of this. There are two
I solved this problem, having done the following changes to the procedure:
* After exit to shell and running ntpdate, I did not continue with unclean
system. Instead I returned to the disk partitioning menu and re-formatted
the root partition.
* I fetched a new uImage and uInitrd dated 091028.

I have some problems installing debian on my OpenRD Client (A0) with an
attached USB disk.
Installing using the debian installer works quite god until late in the
procedure where it hangs indefenitely. (In "setting up users" for example)
