I can confirm that the failure of the Debian 12 Kirkwood ARMEL installer to enumerate USB drives on my Ionics-EMS Nimbus 100 is a Linux kernel bug. I found another, more recent, Linux kernel at https://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,12096 and booted it. Though it also does not have UBIFS
