* the old kernel (and it's initrd) is probably still in the /boot directory,
copy them to your tftp served directory
* telnet to your n2100 redboot, and follow these instructions, replacing the
zImage and ramdisk.arm by yours:

Hardware: Thecus N2100, 512 Mb ram, disk 500 Gb running debian etch, ext3.
Yesterday i did a "apt-get update" and a "apt-get upgrade". The
kernel was updated from 2.{something}-etch2 to 2.{something}-etch3 and
now it will not boot.
I have mounted the disc in a usb adapter on my opensuse pc,
