Hi,
Some more info on the write intent bitmap: I'm running an upgraded
kernel on my slug for a few weeks now (2.6.21-1-ixp4xx) and it appears
that write intent bitmaps work well with this kernel version. (Had no
problems so far, with write intent bitmaps on all my raid devices.)
cu,
Can you give some more info about your disk configuration? It might be
interesting to attach your disks to a regular linux desktop and to
inspect /var/log/boot and /var/log/dmesg from that machine. Otherwise,
studying the boot process on the serial console is also very
instructive.

Hi,
I have been running a software-RAID1-root for a few months now. After
an upgrade of the kernel, the initramfs was recreated and flashed.
After that, the system could no longer boot. I have two equal usb
disks attached in this their configuration:
root: /dev/md1, a raid1 with /dev/sda1 and /de
usb disks to the nslu2, the slug booted like before.
However, after updating and upgrading the debian installation on the
slug, i bumped into a new problem. I'm going to post this into a new
thread.

on this list that have successfully setup a root-raid1 with a write

thanks for reading until the end of this mail,

is to complete the degraded /dev/md1 once booted successfully into the
new
root device. Any help is greatly appreciated.
