Seems to me that ffmeg change is only about speeding up processing (by
making some data paths shorter) - something else needs to provide the

e options "--disable-x11 --enable-gles".
Debian kodi package has those options reversed.
So it seems you need to recompile the kodi package...

Please do share with us your findings, and if tied to some specific
Debian package (tslib, perhaps?) ideally file a bugreport against that.
