based products, I'd like to suggest the topic be placed a bit more central.

Off topic, but...
wondering if CONFIG_EFI_PARTITION is standard now-a-days?
It works for 2013-10 on the ESATA SheevaPlug. Been using it on a 3TB Hardware
Raid 5 for 6 or so months.
Like to see that option on by default.

I'm running mysql, full exim3, spamassassin, apache, trac, subversion,
bind and dhcpd out of ro-flash.
FYI the device has 512MB Flash and I've got /var, /home and swap mounted
from a eSATA HDD.

Albeit the above weirdness, the kernel booted with out any noticeable
problems.
Currently, initramfs-tools/stable and flash-kernel/testing with the
versions 0.92o and 2.19 respectively are installed. Should I go to
initramfs-tools/testing? Or is something else involve
pt the large transfer using
rsync and a back side USB port.
Should I report the output of lsusb -v here?

Hi,
the attempt to connect a eSATA external disk on the hardware failed.
According to Martins' web page concerning the hardware, it uses the chip
JMB362 PCI Express to SATA II Host Controller for external disks access.
Performing a 'lspci' reveled that the PCIe channel is not active and
