Versatile Express reference board has PCIe connectors. These are not
currently used because the design expects the root complex to be on the
processor tile and none of the current production tiles have one

It's the same processor as is in the smaller/cheaper Thecus boxes.

that could be one that was generally available perhaps.
A box for use as a porter machine would help with fixing problems.

and haven't heard of any other problems with it on Thecus boxes, only on NSLU2s

onaires page you can probably use a lower value. The idea
being that in the ideal case the fan would come on at it's slowest speed as
the box initially warms up and stay there all the time rather than coming on
too fast and then being cycled off and on again.

b) In /usr/local/sbin/temper the calculation R=$((150/$(cat $SPEED)))
for fan RPM seems to be rubbish, as $SPEED rises the reported RPM falls!
