I have now done some more work with my precious slug.
As I have described briefly in an earlier thread, with a serial port
and an install procedure similar to the one described in
http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Debian/CreateAnEncryptedRootFilesystemWithLUKS
where the initramfs image is built with

My production environment is
After using my slug for some time to serve files with Debian installed
I thought I'd try using it for a kerberos kdc (tested and works ok) on
an encrypted root file system (current experiment). Not much load and
file access so this might be ok.
But for encryption during a fresh install on the slug
