Definatly check out the bootlog if its enabled and make sure you have
auto flagged the fschk so if it does run it does not end up waiting
for user input. My slug with the same kernel boots within 2 minutes
to a point that I can ssh into it.

the main disk gets mounted
sometimes as /dev/sdb. I have the two main disk partions being
mounted by UUID but I dont seem to have a UUID that I can find for the
swap.

of ram and my system really starts to crawl and I never see anything
used as far as swap using the top command.

Ok, then it _should_ work. So you've hit a very strange bug or file
corruption resulting in strange behaviour or somet
courier-imap installs just fine with no errors.
For the other questions I get the following output.
SLUG:/home/aaron# apt-get --reinstall debconf perl
E: Invalid operation debconf
SLUG:/home/aaron# dpkg -l mysql\*
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold

pha Release? I hope it's the
former one, ;-) I really like the latter one, but as it says, it's
experimental, unstable, unsupported and alpha, ;-))

David

I belive I know why the mysql install is bombing out. Apparently its
trying to install the x11-common package as it says its a dependancy
of mysql-server. I suspect it bombs out since the slug has no video
output device. Any idea how to get around this?

Has anyone gotten the treo of web apps installed and working on the
NSLU2? Maybe its not possible to get Mysql working due to the limited
memory. I have gotten apache running but its verion 1.3.X I seem to
ahve gotten errors when it tried to install apache2 from apt-get. I
tried to install PHP
at it with mkfs.ext3 when I reformatted the disk the other day.
Now it is mounting automatically on boot.
Thank everyone who have helped.

the USB partitions. Someone else will have to chime in here, but I
think you also need to update the fstab in the slug's flash memory.
There's a very simple command to do this but I can't recall it for the
life of me...

Maybe search the archives of this list?
Good luck
