Redboot and debootstrap?

Hi all, If I use my own custom kernel to boot into linux via nfs and then format the drives, chroot and use something like debootstrap or the rootfs image to load debian onto the s4000e, will the Redboot loader automatically load the linux kernel on startup or do I need to change the redboot confi
