Mmm. The bug log doesn't seem to contain any information at all about what the
problem turned out to be. :-(

Okay, I've tried to build X twice now, both times with the same error.
I've put the log at
http://lyre.mit.edu/~powell/debs/xfree86_4.1.0-2.log but it ends with:
rm -f encodings.dir fonts.dir
+ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=../../exports/lib
+ ../../exports/bin/mkfontdir -r -p /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/encodin
I've added code to the installer to detect broken strongarms and print some
kind of suitable warning. This will be in the next version of the
boot-floppies for both potato and woody, whenever those get built.
